'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Holy Cow(ie) - Watford get Don early

It was probably one of the worst kept secrets of the transfer window (forget Robbie Keane`s switch to Spurs or the Arshavin-Arsenal saga!) - Watford have finally done the deal to bring Inverness Cally midfielder Don Cowie to WD19 early.

No mucking around with pre-contracts for a summer switch. No holding fire til his contract runs out. Oh no. Brendan Rodgers has swooped nice and early with a nominal fee (aren`t they all these days?) to bring Cowie in TODAY!

The SPLs hottest property was tracked by Rangers, Preston, Leeds United and most of the other also rans in the Clydebank Premier but settled on a move south when his deal with Cally runs out in May.

Midfield maestro Cowie missed the weekend draw with Celtic and Cally boss Terry 'the headband` Butcher said "it`s a big move" for the lad…

…and no doubt the Ł50,000 in crisp English pounds will do nicely to fund his rebuilding plans of the Scottish side.
