Eustace 'no' to being Brighton's rock

Watford engine room grafter John Eustace has turned down a deadline day loan move to Brighton Hove Albion, choosing instead, it seems, to count his wages in the Watford wilderness.

Brighton`s local rag 'The Argus`, reckon the Hornets had agreed terms to dispatch the former Stoke and Cov man off to the Withdean but Eustace has chosen to snub the move hoping to stay in the Championship.

You can hardly blame him though can you? Just 12 months ago he made a £400k switch from Stoke with Watford on the brink of promotion to the Premier League and now he's being offered a run out in League 1!!!

Let`s face it, Eustace is so far down the Hornets pecking order these days there`s more chance of Mrs Dr Watford getting a shout to grab her boots for an outing against Chelsea in the cup than seeing Aidy Boothroyd`s 'warrior` pull on a golden boys shirt again…

Can not blame him for wanting to pick up his wages here the the vic, but it is a sad iditement of a lot of players who are in it for the money only, He has had a bad injury in the past and paid for his operation in the USA himself, so i guess he wants to secure his future for himself and his family
