Oliver leaves Warnock wanting more
Watford might have whacked Warnock`s Palace for 4 in the 7-goal FA Cup thriller but the Eagles gaffer still reckons ref Michael Oliver cost his side a place in the velvet bag for Round 5!
Impressive strikes by Rasiak, Cork, Demerit and Hoskins as well as one hell of a late fightback by the south Londoners have all been overshadowed by Warnock`s bleating about the poor state of officiating - once again.
Speaking after seeing his troops dumped squarely dumped out of the cup, Warnock quickly turned on the 23 year old official for ruling out a Jose Fonte header when his side were on the end of a 3 goal deficit.
The Eagles chief slammed "The disallowed goal was a disgrace. There was no push and you didn`t know then that it could have mattered - It was 4-1 at the time but if that stands we could have had a draw".
He fumed "I find it difficult to understand how they give referees Championship football at 23…I don`t see how they can have the understanding of the game at that age….I was hoping for a Premier League referee today".
Good news is most match reports suggest Warnock`s waste of air space does little to hide the fact that Watford were worthy winners indeed.
Still Warnock wouldn`t be Warnock without moaning about something.
