Lionel loan deal cut short

Lionel loan deal cut short

Pocket rocket winger Lionel Ainsworth has swapped one relegation scrap for another after Watford activated a 24-hour recall clause to end his loan deal at Div 1 strugglers Hereford.

Ainsworth has been in sparkling form for the Bulls of late and Edgar Street gaffer Graham Turner had assured fans that Lionel was available to play against Walsall clash this Saturday earlier in the week.

Oh no he won`t!

VitalHereford have dubbed the wing wizard`s departure as a "body blow" which is a little bit dramatic but given the Bulls plight in League 1, the Hornets recall is ill-timed.

And it waits to be seen whether Lionel lines up against Palace in the cup this coming weekend or whether a fresh transfer offer to move him on permanently from Vicarage Road is on the horizon.
