Hornets 'too good to go down' - Lee

Watford`s 2nd choice goalkeeper, Richard Lee, has commited crimes against 'footballing clichés` by insisting the Hornets are "too good to go down".

With just 27 points from 28 games, Brendan Rodgers' boys sit periliously above the relegation trap to lower league footballing wilderness and are saved from being in the bottom 3 by goal difference from Doncaster - who have a game in hand!

But Lee, who hasn`t featured for the Hornets for over 2 months now, stated "We all all confident that we are too good to go down but we realise we must start picking up results sooner rather than later…"

The out of form stopper added "…the last thing we want is to be biting our nails in the latter part of the season".

Unfortunately, the Hornets plight has been made worse by the resurgent form of Forest under new management whilst Norwich have shown (yellow and) green shoots of recovery after the departure of Glenn Roeder…

Sadly, Brendan Rodgers` arrival at the Vicarage Road hasn`t had the same impact and in fact, after recent weeks, many fans fear the Hornets have gone backwards since the 3-0 thumping of QPR.

But it`s ok as Lee insists that new training drills (nicked straight out of Stamford Bridge) has "caught the imagination of the boys" and "we seem to be keeping the ball better than we have before…"

So everything`s gonna be ok then.

I think sack Rogers and put Malky as manager
jackwebby
I agree Jack, Rogers has not done much to impress, but if we sack him so quickly, what happens if it goes t!!s up with Malky, Rogers does need time and if that entails relegation, then so be it. Before the start of the season, most fans were saying relegation and that was with aidy in charge. Whilst i do not advocate this crab football and prefer the attack and pace, i do belive that given time he will turn the club around, He is arrogant, self confident and its his way or the high way. He may not make friends, but he will gain respect of players. Good to see Marlon is still on top form, just shows what he got away with when he was at the Vic.
