Malky set to join relegation rivals?

Watford coach Malky Mackay must be laughing on the other side of his face.

Not only has he seen all the braveheart spirit he put back into the team during his spell of caretaker manager evaporate over night thanks to Brendan Rodgers but he`s rumoured to have secured himself another job back at his old stomping ground.

Mackay, who in hindsight should have got that managers job at the Vic (after that outrageous 3-0 beating of QPR) is set to link up with former mentor Aidy Boothroyd at Norwich - who are just 2 points and 2 places above the Hornets.

(Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire!!!)

The former Canaries skipper is bang in the centre of the yellow and green tinted frame to be Boothroyd`s right hand man when (not IF) the former Hornets gaffer takes over the reigns at Carrow Road as early as tomorrow.

Or so say the News of the World (and not Bryan Gunn`s PR team).

Boothroyd doesn`t even need a backing from Jose Mourinho to get the board wetting themselves with 'star struck` excitement - unlike some could mention. Oh no, Sir Aidy was supported by none other than Watford reject Matt Jackson who declared him "a fantastic [long term] choice to make an immediate impact"

Of course he would. Boothroyd paid Jackson a rumoured £12k a week for 10 minutes of awful defending during a 2 year deal at Vicarage Road.

Jacko has since retired to count all his ill-gained earnings - but what price a return to Norwich in a coaching capacity?

Aidy has got to get a job yet and at the moment he is being over looked by most clubs, Football is a small world and i don't think that his fallout with Burkinshaw and his attitude has helped. still, i wish him luck.
