The Big Fella: I'm still improving
Hornets’ hitman Darius Henderson believes that he is still improving as a footballer following his brace against Southampton on Monday night.
The Big Fella is arguably a rare breed nowadays in the game; a big, physical, imposing, battling striker who can also play football. He has struck fear into the hearts of Championship centre-halves all season and his double against Southampton on Monday night took his tally for the season to twelve goals in only twenty matches. 'I'm improving all the time and as long as that continues, I'm happy', enthused Henderson.
Reflected on Monday’s victory over Southampton the £450,000 summer signing form Gillingham told the official site. 'We knew we had to play well on Monday because, even though Southampton are down near the bottom, they are a good side and ran us all the way to the end.”
With the Hornets sitting in third place in the Championship - three points behind second-placed Sheffield united with seven game still to play – promotion to the Promised Land of the Premier League is a distinct possibility but the Big Fella is only concentrating on Watford’s results.
'It doesn't help us to look at the table or look at other people's results. At the end of the day, it is down to us. We've got to win our games if we're going to win promotion,' said Henderson.
