Watford 'dominated' QPR - Rodgers
Watford boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that his troops fully deserved more than a point after a dour 0-0 stalemate with QPR at Loftus Road, suggesting his side were "dominant".
The Hornets - described as "plucky but unadventurous" by many a tabloid, managed only 1 shot on target in the full 90 minutes (a Williamson free kick that cannoned off the post) but that didn`t stop Rodgers wholeheartedly praising his Golden Boys.
Speaking post match, the former Chelsea reserve team boss said "I thought we were terrific, especially in the 1st half. A point was certainly the least we deserved - If we had won here no one could have argued".
And lil` Brendan was even more buoyant with his thoughts on the spin machine that is the official club website, www.watfordfc.com. He beamed "In the first half we were dominant [and comfortable]…At half time I felt there was only 1 team out there that could win it and that was us".
Rodgers went on to add "I think today, that you could argue that we were the better side [at Loftus Road] in the 90 minutes".
Ah, we`re beating our chests with pride here at VitalWatford Towers…
...and have forgotten all about those clear cut chances that the not so Super Hoops failed to convert when it was easier to score.
