Watford not ideal for me - Rodgers

Brendan Rodgers was quick to confirm that this isn`t the type of Watford team he expects to manage after the 1-0 defeat to Derby on Saturday.

The Hornets boss saw his side slip right out of form at Pride Park at the weekend and then insisted the side "are a long way off".

Rodgers, who has already reiterated that there will be plenty of comings and goings at Vicarage Road, told the spin machine that is the club`s official website that change was being seen slowly but surely .

Now it seems he`s changed his mind, insisting "I think what we`ve seen [today] performance wise was not good but the team is a long way what I would model and construct".

From the evidence of his only signing Liam Bridcott (or should that be 'Brid-crab`) since taking the hotseat what Rodgers clearly wants to 'construct` is a side who will pass themselves sideways and backwards out of this division…

Total football is all well and good at a club with the riches and luxuries of Chelsea (even the reserves travelled to away matches by plane) but at Watford a bit of rough and tumble is still the order of the day.
