Drpic on Watford's radar?

Drpic on Watford's radar?

Dynamo Zagreb and Croatian international centre back Dino Drpic is apparently on Watford boss Brendan Rodgers watch-list, well according to web sources anyway.

The 27 year old Croatian international no-nonsense defender is known as a bit of a trouble maker in his native country but that`s not stopped a host of top European clubs (and Watford) expressing a so-called 'interest' in him.

Drpic, who has spent 11 seasons at Zagreb and boast both Champions League and UEFA Cup experience, has racked up near on 200 games, as well as an eye for goal, in his homeland.

He is reportedly wanted by French sides Nancy and Sochaux as well as the Hornets and German Bundeslige surprise package Hoffenheim.

He isn`t young. He isn`t from Chelsea….So why the speculation?

We certainly need an experienced and strong centre half and the Croatians generally fit the bill. Can we afford him and would be interested in coming here are the questions.

Not sure we have the funds I thought he would be looking at youngsters and maybe from the lower leagues for a cheap buy that he could turn into a better player
