Watford fans rapped for ticket fiasco

Watford Football Club have put the blame for the number of Spurs fans sitting in the home end of Vicarage Road firmly at the feet of the Hornets faithful - and are taking action.

There`s nothing quite like turning on your own is there.

Watford supporters have filled online message boards and radio phones complaining about the quite ludicrous levels of away support in the Hornets home end and the stewards had their hands full ejecting the cockerell-loving intruders.

But the club insists fans should look closer to home, stating "The club is extremely disappointed that a number of Watford supporters chose to ignore [this] advice and purchased tickets which were supplied to Tottenham supporters."

No mention of that the fact that ticket office still clearly can`t handle any more than the usual Championship crowd. No acknowledgement that the rubbish electronic turnstiles caused a power cut in the Rookery and left many fans locked out of the ground.

Oh no, instead a statement on the spin machine that is the official website added "Subsequent investigations have identified the Watford supporters that supplied tickets to these persons and the club has taken immediate action by imposing restrictions upon them".

Hopefully those 'restrictions` insist fans (and we use that word lightly) must attend the 1st round of the Carling Cup and travel to Barnsley on a cold Tuesday night….

…and not allow them to ONLY buy 5 tickets for the next visit of West Ham or Liverpool.

Don`t you just love gloryhunters.

I am not against away fans being in the home, i have done it at other grounds, it's when they get up start shouting for their team and giving it large! Spurs fans were really quiet untill they went ahead and then their usual arrogance appears, i hate spurs always have, hope they end up with sweet F all and end up relegated.

Unfortunately with harry in charge relegation will not happen but i agree with you on everything else
