'If It's Football, It's Vital'

One Ell of a Carling Cup night

Expensive Watford reject Nathan Ellington netted a last gasp penalty to earn Paul Jewell`s Derby a Carling Cup semi-final slot ahead of Premier League one-trick pony Stoke City….

…but that wasn`t the story of the night. Oh no, the Championship clubs made it 2 from 2 in the last 4 as Burnley knocked out the ever so fancied Arsenal kids with a 2-0 win at Turf Moor.

Despite bags and bags of Gunners gung-ho pressure, keeper Brian Jenson had the game of his life and a brace from Kevin McDonald was enough to seal a famous Clarets victory.

Now, lets just hope the Hornets can do one over Spurs in front of a sold out Vicarage Road to give the lower leagues even more to cheer about.

It really is up for grabs now…Bring it on.
