Hereford United will no doubt be on red alert after Watford caretaker boss Malky Mackay confirmed he wanted one time Bulls favourite, Lionel Ainsworth, to go out on loan.
Wing wizard Ainsworth was plucked from Edgar Street for a Bulls record transfer fee last XXXX but hasn`t found the fancy footwork nor his goal scoring touch that caught the eye of ex Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd.
Now Malky Mackay has decided it`s time for young Lionel to go and try his luck elsewhere for a short while and Hereford are expected to head the queue with fans desperate for Ainsworth to return.
But Ainsworth isn`t the only player set for a spell away from WD18 with Malky keen to pack left back Jordan Parkes and centre half Cedric Avinel off to pastures new - all in the name of experience.
French defender Avinel is no big loss as he is not even on the fringes of the first team but Parkes, who has had loan spells at Barnet and Brentford, is a surprise especially given the indifferent form of regular left back Mat Sadler.
Speaking to the club`s official PR machine on the web, Malky told the official site "I`ll be speaking to interested clubs in the coming days and weeks and we`ll take it from there, but I`d rather players be playing and be of use to other managers, than sit here watching from sidelines"
Here at VitalWatford Towers though, we can`t help wonder just why a 'caretaker boss` is taking the decision on which players to ship out on loan…or is that desperate we get them off the wage bill?
