Barnes raps dream team 'paper talk'

Barnes raps dream team 'paper talk'

Rumours of a Watford return for legends John Barnes and Luther Blissett had been music to the ears of some Hornets fan after tabloids dubbed them a "management dream team".

Now it appears to be a mere far fetched daydream thought up by the national press after Barnes insisted the wild speculation was "just paper talk".

Whilst Luther has coached Watford during Graham Taylor`s second reign in charge of the club, Digger has steered clear of the backroom staff at the club where he made his name and only days ago took up his post as manager of the Jamaica national team.

It is no surprise then that the former Watford, Liverpool, Newcastle and er, Charlton (?!?) wing wizard chose to rule himself out of the Vicarage Road race through the ever so popular Jamaica Observer.

Of the speculation, Barnes stated "Watford have not spoken to me nor have I spoken to them. The fact of the matter is I have a job and that is the end of the story really".

Not quite though - Digger, who confirmed he 'doesn`t comment on speculation` by commenting on speculation then went on to add "The obvious link though is that I am a former Watford player, as is Luther Blissett. Watford have just lost their manager so people are speculating about former Watford players."

hat might be the case John but you don`t see Devon White, Lee Nogan, Andy Kennedy or Geoff Pitcher being linked with the hotseat!!!
