'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Time is a great healer' at Watford

Watford will have been thankful for the international break more than most after the crippling Vicarage Road injury curse started to resemble a cleaner bill of health.

Even Aidy Boothroyd, who has bemoaned a full treatment room for a few weeks now, has insisted he`s "a lot more hopeful than I was a few weeks ago…" after some of his key players returned to action.

Lloyd Doyley and John Eustace have both returned to training, striker Theo Robinson is back in the frame after breaking his arm, Jobi McAnuff came through 90 minutes of action for the stiffs and even Grzgorz Rasiak is expected to feature against Cardiff!

And let`s not forget that Priskin, Sadler and Liam Henderson have all shaken off the shackles of medical guru Andy Rolls and his magic sponge in the last 10 days…

No wonder, then, Aidy was upbeat in his weekly email to the Hornets faithful stating "They say that time is a great healer too, and there`s been of that going on as well - freeing up some beds in the medical room!".

He added "The likes of Rasiak, Doyley, Eustace and the like are all getting that little bit closer to a resumption of their duties for us although they`ll all be touch and go over the next few games as to whether they make it".
