Bang Bang in Watford's firing line

Watford (and soon to be Sierra Leone international) Al Bangura is set for feisty ol` showdown with Aidy Boothroyd after jetting off t0 represent his country without the gaffer`s permission.

Boothroyd, who has already had a run in with Bangura this season after sending him home from the Hornets pre-season training camp in Austria, told the Watford Observer "I didn`t think it was a good idea and told him I didn`t want him to go…If a manager says it doesn`t happen, it doesn`t happen, so that`s what my issue is".

Quite right too Aidy - but what exactly is your issue with Bangura`s call up to the international scene? Safety fears perhaps, time taken to travel even? In this day and age of the club v country row we'll never know.

What we do know however is that Bangura shouldn`t expect a 'welcome back` party when he lands and is likely to find himself in hot water with the club.

The seething Hornets chief blasted "It is something that will be dealt with internally on his return. There`s maybe more to come but at this moment I am waiting for him to come back".

Oh Al, you silly boy.

I thought his safety was in question if he returned to SL, wasn't this part of the reasoning behind the campaign to stop his deportation? Seems Al's been telling Porkies again... Heh ho
