Watford keeper crisis to worsen?

Watford will have everything crossed going into the international break after their one remaining fit goalie, Richard Lee, reported a groin injury after the 2-1 win against Preston.

The Hornets goalkeeping fraternity has been riddled with injury of late with Mart Poom sidelined until April and rookie Scott Loach due for a 3-4 month spell in the treatment room after a severe muscular injury.

Now, with only on-loan Mark Tyler as back-up, Watford could do without any fears over the fitness of Lee, who racked up his 100th career game on Saturday

But speaking through his weekly blog at www.richardleegk.co.uk, the Hornets stopper rang the alarm bells himself by stating "I actually picked up a bit of a groin strain late in the first half [v Preston] which was the reason I was getting Wardy [Darren Ward] to take more free-kicks than normal…"

But it`s not all bad news Hornet fans as Lee will nurse his strain through the international break and insisted "…I`m sure with a few days rest I`ll be 100% by the time we face Southampton"…

You can`t help but feel though that it was ever so timely that young Hungarian keeper Bo Antal signed his first pro contract with the Hornets just a couple of days before.
