'If It's Football, It's Vital'

You dont HAVE to be crazy...

...but it does help. Yes, the curse of the goalkeeper struck again on Saturday with Scott Loach tearing his abdominal muscles which lead to internal bleeding.

'Thankfully Scott is OK, but he went to hospital to be checked over, and there was a danger of internal bleeding.'

'He's pulled all the abdominal muscles that connect to his hip. It all started to bleed internally and that's why he had to come off.'

Richard Lee looks most likely to fill the spot left void by both Mart Poom [out for six months] and now Scott Loach after he made his first appearance on Saturday from the bench.

Lee has never been Boothroyd's first choice and unsuprisingly therefore, there has been talk of Boothroyd making a move for a 'keeper in the loan market:

'It is something we will have to think about.' Said Boothroyd to BBC 3Counties Radio.

Academy young guns Bo Antal and Wales Youth cap Jonathan North could find themselves pushed into the spotlight with tonight's trip to Burnley looming. Though Lee looks certain to start one of the two could well take a place on the bench.

All that remains to be said, is, Gary Plumley anyone?!
