Is Bolton's Vaz Watford's cup of Te?

Watford have declared they are in the market for another loan striker with "international pedigree" and Aussie football site TribalFootball (and the Daily Star) reckon Bolton`s Ricardo Vaz Te is the wanted man!

Ok, so the sources aren`t great but both have revealed that Gary Megson`s Trotters have turned down a bid from the Hornets for the Portuguese U21 striker, who despite signing in August 2003, has only made 19 starts for Wanderers.

Vaz Te would definitely fit the bill that Aidy Boothroyd has publicly confirmed he`s after - he`s quick, is a right ol` handful for defenders and must be desperate to get off the bench at the Reebok (59 sub appearances and counting!).

He also has UEFA Cup experience under his belt and even notched 1 of his 7 Bolton goals to date against the Hornets back in a 3-0 FA Cup win in January 2006!

Only down side is that Bolton themselves are going through a bit of a striking crisis themselves at present with Elmander just back from injury, Davies suspended and Helguson seemingly out of favour…

…So much so that Vaz Te got 33 minutes of action during the 2-0 defeat to Man Utd on Saturday - which, all in all, pretty much rules out any loan deal I`d say!!!

Still we live in hope.
