'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'I'm not dying!' - Kabba

Steve Kabba is a man on a mission.

Having wasted 18 months of his career in the ressies or in the stands at Vicarage Road, the Blackpool loanee is determined to prove he`s "not dying in the reserves at Watford".

The £500k capture from Sheffield United told the Blackpool Gazette "I just want people to know I'm still about and I'm fit and I'm not dying in the reserves at Watford. I'm just happy to be playing."

Kabba added "I was at Watford for 18 months and I didn't really play and only scored one goal. It was frustrating. I was injury free but not playing...

And score goals he has - notching in the defeat against his former Blade employers before having an entire 'hat-trick' of strikes ruled out against Southampton before the international break.

So impressed have the Seasider`s management and fans been with Watford's 6th best striker that there is even talk of a permanent move come January - with aa cut price £250k figure being banded about.

But Kabba knew little of the speculation, insisting "I don't know what will happen with the loan deal. We'll see how it goes for the six months and then see what happens afterwards."

"At the moment that's not important and not something I'm thinking about. I just want to focus completely on playing as many games as I can, scoring as many goals as I can and getting myself back into the sort of form that I know I can show."

Well good on you Steve. Good on you.

Lost all confidence and looked like he'd got two left feet last season, unbelievable waste of 500k, Warnock said as much when he sold him to us in Jan 2007. Hope he does well and getrs a permanent move so doesn't come back.

A player who wa not even playing at Sheff utd, when we signed him! another complete waste of money, he put effort in, but that was about it, a very poor player in my eyes.

Steve, along with Tommy are the hardest workers in the team... Anybody who saw him at Sheffield United last season will tell you the same... How comes we gave Ellington a fair chance in the team but not Steve... Was it because Aidy needed to prove himself... I would much rather see Steve in the starting line up then Priskin... Why didn't we sell the Muppet when we had the chance... Weren't we offered 2 mill or something from the Germans... Anyway back to Kabba. He don't get the backing he deserves... Especially now when we need a forward coz GR and TR are both injured... We could do with him now...

Give the lad a break - he was dumped in the Watford wilderness by AB then stuck out on the wing when he did get a game...hardly builds confidence does it. He should have played a much bigger role last season and his passion after being dismissed at Hull proves he does care...
