'If It's Football, It's Vital'

'Worst ever' claims Watford winger

Forget THAT Ronnie Rosenthal miss where the Rocket cleared the bar of an open goal. Wipe Darius Henderson`s 2-yard miss-kick away at Charlton from your memory…

Watford winger Jobi McAnuff`s quite unbelievable miss from less than a yard in front of an open goal with Ipswich keeper Richard Wright stranded is the new blooper in the Watford Hall of Shame - and even the player admits it`s "probably the worst ever".

And sadly for the former Palace and Wombles wideman, he reckons he`s all set for an unwanted TV ordeal yet again live on Sky.

The disgraced McAnuff told the Watford Observer (who probably struggled to hide their sniggers) "It was a bad miss by me…I think I will be on Soccer AM, it was a bad one"

And we`re guessing he didn`t mean in the crossbar challenge!!!

Ok, so Jobi is clutching at the proverbial straw when he states "it might have taken a bobble" but after seeing a number of slow-mo replays, here at VitalWatford, we have a few choice words of advise for the TV nation…

Wait until after the 9pm watershed and cover up the eyes of all prospective Junior Hornets.

Yes folks, McAnuff`s miss really is x-rated stuff!

Look at McAnuff's goal record throughout his career - it is poor for someone of his ability, however if his finishing matched his build up play we couldn't afford him. It was an amazing miss for sure but he kept going and created the chance for the winner I remember a similar miss from Tommy Smith of all people a couple of years back, so let's forgive him - until the next time and ... Come on You Golden Boys!

Thought Sats game was one of his best!

It was definatly JJ O'T's best game! McAnuff is a good player when he wants to be, but this is yet another of his careless mistakes! But he'll get over it! YELLOW ARMY!!

Agreed on that Andy, we need him to play well otherwise if everything has to go through Tommy, sides will soon snub us out. Good to see JJOT back to form also, think he got burned out towards the end of last season. Come on You Golden Boys!

It was a bad, bad miss, but I would rather he did it now than in the last game of the season when results could be needed!!
