That's Entertainment!?!

That's Entertainment!?!

Colin Calderwood reckons 'everyone was well entertained at the City Ground' during Saturday`s 3-2 win over Watford but the Forest gaffer is well wide off the markā€¦

..Hornets boss Aidy Boothroyd certainly wasn`t.

The hard faced Scot confirmed 'It was a fantastic game and a great advert for the Championship'.

He even added that Watford played their part in the thriller, insisting '2 teams went for it, tried to win the game and at no stage did we think we had fully grasped the 3 points. It was on a knife-edge right to the end'.

However Watford chief Aidy Boothroyd was less than impressed, stating 'It was an entertaining spectacle but we want to entertain and win not entertain and lose'.

Boothroyd, who admits that aesthetically pleasing football must generate 3 points for it to be easy on the eye, then added 'I`m delighted everyone enjoyed it but I`m going to have a miserable weekend'.

A club like ours needs to entertain or the fans just don't show up... Fact!!!

oh yes i agree, but points makes prizes, and you win F!!! All playing nice and losing, last year was bad, but how many would have complained if we had got promotion playing that? FACT, we did not, but are you saying, that you would be more than happy to lose 3-3 every week and at the end of the season, say "oh well, the games were good and we got relegated, get a life!

Entertaining (by playing decent football ) and winning are not mutually exclusive, the reason we lost at Forest was not because of our entertaining style of play or formation, it was because we started slowly and defended poorly. Aidy has said as much and anything else is just fudging the issue.
