Watford like an Olympic Boxer - Aidy

After a defeat when a player named 'Tyson` applied the knockout punch for Forest, Aidy Boothroyd has compared his side`s performance to that of an Olympic boxer.

Sadly however it was not a gold medal winning show inspired by Beijing hero James DeGale as the Hornets failed to 'sting like a bee` in the 3-2 loss at the City Ground.

Boothroyd told the world`s media "We were like two Olympic boxers out there - flaying arms and everything but not terribly good when it came to defending."

Watford`s clean sheet start to the season was soon up the spout all thanks to a couple of sucker punches from Lee Martin and Rob Earnshaw and the Hornets chief was far from happy with his super lightweight back-line.

He fumed "After being excellent as a defensive unit and as a team with 3 clean sheets, I would like to think we are a bit more professional defensively than that but perhaps it is a wake-up call for us."

Ok, so Watford didn`t throw in the towel against Forest but VitalWatford imagine it might be a case of "Ding Ding, Round 2" for the back 4 on the training ground this week.

This is a bit of a reality check for all of us. We obviously played well against Palace and Charlton but both of those teams were not that strong in attack on the day. Still, 2 more goals from Tommy Smith and Rasiak will hit the mark soon, so let's hope we can get back to winning ways next saturday. Come on You Golden Boys!
