Rasiak eyes international return

New Watford striker Grzegorz Rasiak is going to go all out to impress at Vicarage Road and push his way back into the Polish national squad.

The former Derby, Saints and Spurs frontman had been an international regular, until he headed to Bolton on loan, and has notched 8 international goals but missed out on the Euro2008 party.

Rasiak told the Watford FC official site "I have played 37 times for my country [though] and I know that if I am focused on my new team here at Watford, by playing I will have a chance to get back in the national squad".

He added "I wasn't in the Poland squad because when I was at Bolton I didn't play week-in week-out".

So the 6ft3 striker will be pleased as punch to know that 82% of all VitalWatford visitors want Rasiak to start at the City Ground against Forest.

Yet the big Pole has a mountain to climb to get passed the likes of former Celtic striker Maciej Zurawski and ex Saints teammate Marek Saganowski but insists "I believe it will be a good year for me and for Watford".
