'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Watford - Bristol Rovers Team News

The big news ahead of tonights Carling Cup clash is NOT, I stress NOT debut's for Robinson, Loach and Jenkins, but that the legend that is Lloyd Doyley, captains the side.

Several seniors players are rested including Poom, DeMerit, Williamson, Priskin, Smith, McAnuff and Eustace. Scott Loach deputises in goal and therefore makes his first Watford appearance since signing in 2006, whilst Theo Robinson starts for the first time after two sub apps previously. Ross Jenkins - no, not that one, but a relation, starts in midfield after an impressive pre-season.

Watford also switch to a 4-4-2 which accomodates Damien Francis, back from injury and Lionel Ainsworth in his natural wide-right position.

Watford
Poom; Doyley (c), Mariappa, Bromby, Sadler; Ainsworth, Jenkins, Francis, Harley; Robinson and Hoskins.

Bristol Rovers
Phillips; Pipe, Anthony, Elliott, Lescott; Lines, Campbell (c), Disley, Hughes; Lambert and Duffy.

Come on you Orns!!!

Jenkins looks a good player and certainly did not look out of place a very good prospect. What has happened to O'toole, not even on the bench?

The match wasn't the best... Lots of drive but not enough quality. I just hope we don't need to re lie too much on these youngsters in the league... They will do alright for the odd game but nothing more than that...
