Shittu joins Bolton

Danny Shittu's protracted move away from WD18 has finally gone through this afternoon just a couple of hours after a bid was accepted for his services.

The deal is believed to be worth around two million pounds, which will help Watford's desperate financial plight no end, whilst Dan has inked a three year deal at the Reebok.

Shittu was signed in 2006 from under the noses of West Brom for a fee of £1.4million, plus performance related clauses from Queens Park Rangers. Dan was the Hornets second-highest scorer last term with nine goals which earnt him a re-call the the Nigerian national side for the African Nations Cup. During his time in Hertfordshire, Shittu made 70 starts and a further five sub apps.

Good luck Dan!
