Former Hornet makes Rovers switch

Former Hornet makes Rovers switch

Former Watford squadie James Chambers has made a move back into Championship life after leaving relegated Leicester City to join new comers Doncaster Rovers.

The versatile right sider, who turned out 90 appearances for the Hornets, left Watford to join the Foxes in June 2007, after turning down the option of a new contract at Vicarage Road.

Chambers will be fondly remembered by the Hornets faithful for his strike (that put the Hornets 2-0 up in the Championship Play off final) after somehow finding it`s way through the hands of goalkeeper Neil Sullivan…now the first choice stopper for Doncaster at Belle Vue…

That should be some reunion!!!

Should never have been allowed to leave in the first place in truth - his versatility and experienced head make him a must have in the squad. Always gives 100% as well which will always make him popular with the fans.

I'm not so sure of his value based on last season with the Foxes, otherwise why did Leicester let him go and not make him the cornerstone of their fight to get promoted? He also left Watford by choice and turned down a new contract. A decent right back though and another member of that first great Boothroyd season. Oh Happy Days!
