Andrews fails to settle Aidy's stomach

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd was right about one thing - MK Dons skipper Keith Andrews will score a bagful of goals!!!

The Hornets gaffer looked on as a man he has "been priced out of a move for" was instrumental in helping the MK Dons to a 2-1 win over a toothless (and at times ill at ease) Hornets side.

Dons skipper Keith Andrews scored with a crackerjack of a strike with just 2 minutes on the clock at a quiet Stadium:MK and then flicked on a cross for Aaron Wilbraham to hit a second half winner, after Jon Harley scored on his second Watford outing.

Together with Saturday`s 1-1 draw with Brentford, tonight`s performance shows the Hornets are behind schedule if they seriously think their new look passing game will be good enough for anything other than defeat at Palace in less than 2 weeks time.

And all this from a VitalWatford team who really don`t believe that 'pessimism` is a good look!!!

A very disappointing result indeed which would seem to confirm the lack of a cutting edge up front, however as someone who doesn't go to pre-season games I tend not to take them too seriously although the kick-off is only 9 days away. On a positive note, it appears that Robinson had an impact when he came on - but that speaks volumes about the performance of Priskin - and "young" De la Cruz apparently was steady... Aidy's not satisfied - which is a relief - although I'm not sure about his comment of "us looking like the league one side", just hope it's not prophetic. Come on you Golden Boys!

you really can not read in to friendlies, but i still doubt that we will be able to cut it, playing the passing game this season, WBA sold and rebuilt a team that got them prommoted, we have not managed to sell many or even give them away with walkers crisp packets!! so no new signings and now they are closing the main stand and relocating us again! WFC say they are gonna knock the mainstand down at the end of the season, suppose they could build a stand like Blackpool! in all the years i have been watching, i have not felt so pessimistic, we really are in a myer!! Aidy's not satisified, mate you should have com and sat in the stands for the last 2 seasons and i will show you what "not satisfied means"
