Ulises gets a Royal stamp of approval

Watford trialist Ulises De la Cruz has been given a right royal reference by his former Reading boss Steve Coppell, who said he`d 100% recommend him to anyone.

If Hornets gaffer Aidy Boothroyd is listening then Coppell`s seal of approval, on a player who left the Madejski Stadium this summer, might go some way to securing the Equadorian right back a move to Vicarage Road.

Coppell told the Reading official site "Ulises is without doubt one of the best professionals I have ever worked with. If anyone phones me about him, I would recommend him to them 100%, absolutely no doubt".

This could be music to Boothroyd`s ears after several of his recent signings have struggled to settle in to life at Watford…

But is he still good enough????

GT signed him when he was young, but at his age, how is his pace? If reading don't want him for the champioship, then Coppell can not rate him that high!

Fair comment which probably illustrates the different fortunes of the two clubs, Reading have a strong squad, money in the bank, a new modern stadium - with stands on all 4 sides, plus a wealthy owner and two years of paracute payments. We, on the other hand, have none of these! However, I can remember when they were almost down and out at Elm Park a few years back, so maybe our fortunes will rise again. In the meantime we must support whoever is wearing the yellow shirt (and hope they will be worthy of it) Come on You Golden Boys!
