Watford ready to go for Scow?

Watford are being linked to a move for Crystal Palace targetman >(and poor mans Hendo?) James Scowcroft…though the suggested £500k asking price seems a bit steep!

The dog eared hacks down on the sports desk at The Sun have hinted that the Hornets are in a race with Preston and Cardiff City for the signature of the Eagles journeyman striker.

But surely the former Ipswich, Leicester and Coventry frontman won`t suit Aidy Boothroyd`s preference for a new passing game?

Scowcroft, who has played as part of a 3 man front line at Selhurst Park, has netted 14 times in 63 starts for Palace.

wouldn't touch him with a barge pole!

Well past his sell-by date and hope this is just paper talk. 1/2 Million is Crazy money which we don't have, apparently. Would prefer to stick with existing strikers than bring him in.

Why couldn't we have bid for Eagles... Even if we were laughed at for what we offerd... AJ is not for sale Eagles next best thing....
watford1881
It seems a few are after him.

The giants of Burnley got him.... What a massive club... Why would he want to go there???
watford1881
Burnley may not be giants, but I think that we have to re-evaluate where we are in the pecking order of the Championship. After Burnley that's for sure. Seeing as they just spent £1.25 million on Eagles and we are struggling to get a 10th of that to buy La Bamba.
