Malky wants youth to get physical
Watford coach Malky Mackay has urged the Hornets young stars to start 'competing physically` if they are to have any chance of cutting the grade in the Championship next season.
Mackay saw an inexperienced Watford side well beaten 3-1 by uncompromising Wealdstone side last night and immediately issued a warning on the official club site, stating "We`ve got young boys in mens bodies - that`s different from experienced individuals who are big, strong men…If they don`t match them physically then they aren`t going to match Championship teams physically".
And the no nonsense former Norwich and Celtic centre back went on to add "There`s no doubt we`ve got some great young talent but they`ve got to apply themselves physically to make sure their talent comes through".
Aye Malky...but we already know you win nothing with kids!
