La Bamba - Watford trial Pars soul

La Bamba - Watford trial Pars soul

Watford could be about to start life without powerhouses Darius Henderson and Danny Shitu by signing another 6ft3, 14-stone man mountain in Souleymane Bamba.

The Hornets have included the strapping Dunfermline Athletic centre back in their starting eleven for the pre-season trip to Borehamwood after taking the former PSG defender on trial.

Bamba, who has played youth and B-international football for the Ivory Coast has made 35 appearances for the Pars in the Scottish First Division since joining in July 2006 and has been picking up rave reviews north of the border.

'Sol` is coming to the end of a 2 year contract with Dunfernline so would be a cheap option for the Watford board should he prove his worth.

erm signed a 2 year deal in July 2006 - so that means his contract expires in July 2008???? Pars fans seem to be split as to whether or not he's a decent CB - £200K seems to be the figure they want.
