Watford in for a Stern talking to?

Watford in for a Stern talking to?

Stern John could finally become a Watford player…10 years after Hornets legend Graham Taylor tried (and failed) to lure the player to Vicarage Road.

Reports in the Trinidad & Tobago Express suggest that Aidy Boothroyd`s Watford lead the race to sign the Southampton striker but there is competition from unnamed club in Saudi Arabia and Hull City (of course).

With Phil Brown`s Tigers turning their attentions to £3m Marlon King, Watford might find the door opened up just a bit more in their favour at St Marys and even John is quoted as saying "I know there have been a few clubs showing interest".

It`s no surprise really. Having scored goals for fun at Forest, Coventry and last year for the Saints, John could be the answer to our front line problem but a goal scoring reputation will come with a hefty transfer fee and it`s unlikely the Hornets will be able to match Stern`s current wages…

But stranger things have happened.

Not sure about this one, seems unpopular at Soton and too Henderson-like.

Think he has made himself unpopular with his desire to 'look after himself'

Stern would be alright for us. Seeing as we only have First teamers Henddo & Priskin at the moment who can play upfront... He could want too high wages than we could offer. Let's see......
