Douglas Rinaldi leaves

He came, he saw, he impressed, then he got released. Just like most other foreign players signed by Mr Boothroyd.

Signed last Summer for a fee of 250k, Douglas Rinaldi failed to make a single league start in 2007-2008 after impressing whilst on loan in the Premier League.

Arriving in January 2007, he made his debut some weeks later at Spurs before scoring his first at Blackburn. An intelligent ball-player with a tenacious touch, Rinaldi scarcely got a chance and has today been released.

Good luck Douglas!

Matt Jackson is expected to go the same way within the coming days after Adrian Boothroyd confirmed to the Watford Observer the duo would be 'sorted out' upon the gaffers return from Austria.

I may be only fan at the club to still have faith in Aidy. We only get to see if he plays. Aidy gets to see him all the time. I still remember Scott Fitzgeralld. The fans have short memorys. How comes R L never got the same treatment..... Keep the faith... (1881 Forever)

Time to move on...he had a few good games but never got a chance again and there must have been a reason.
