Former Chelsea and Fulham full-back-cum-midfielder Jon Harley has joined Watford Football Club.
The 28 year-old left footer has penned a two year deal at Vicarage Road having impressed on trial whilst in Austria.
Released by Burnley at the end of last season, Harley moved from Sheffield United whom he joined on loan from Fulham.
Prior to his move to Craven Cottage, the set-peice specialist was at Stamford Bridge where he collected England Youth honours and an F.A Cup before a £3.5million move across the captial.
Harley scored twice for Burnley against Watford in 2005/2006 in a comprehensive rout of the Hornets, one sizzling free kick and a spot kick contributing to his 12 career goals.
Speaking of his move to WD18, Harley was enthusiastic about Adrian Boothroyd:
'Since I've been here training has been brilliant. Aidy wants to play football the right way and the training has reflected that. It's mostly been ball work, but hard work at the same time.'
Good luck to Jon in his Watford career!
