'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Takeover Talks Over

In a takeover saga not unlike Football Manager, Watford Football Club have today announced that the 'tentative' offer from a third party has lead to nothing.

Consequently, after some 3 months of talks, commencing from 25th April, nothing has been achieved and Watford Football Club remains in the hands of Graham Simpson and Lord Ashcroft.

However, Simpson has re-iterated his desire to sell up with the club's future in mind, whilst Tottenham shareholder, Lord Ashcroft has joined Simpson in echoing this sentiment.

No further details have been given but there will be an interview with Graham Simpson on Watfordfc.com tomorrow.

Of course, we at VitalWatford will drop our bacon butties at any noise of some news to keep you updated.

bet the board were rubbing their hands together with how much they were gonna make, now it's gonna be a case of how much they will lose, they wasted money left right and centre for the last two seasons and now they have none! (apart from the paracute payment) AB has been very quiet! I really would like to see some one come out of the club and be realistic as to what they want to achieve for the coming season, no more Bull!!!!, just straight talking, and at least us fans will know what to expect. there are enough doom and gloomers on other sites and it does feel very depressing being a wfc fan. Keep the faith

I love Simpson I think we all do. He was the one man who spent his own money to help the club he loves stay the club he loves. Simpson has done a great thing for us fans and we should never forget Graham was here holding us in the league. So we could all have a team we can support & love. We may not be the biggest club in the land but we know (or should know) where we have come from to be here today. I think Graham is not going to spend any money this summer. Know that he is selling up. Which will make next season harder yet, but a least we have a club to support. (1881 Forever)
