Christmas comes early at Watford

Christmas comes early at Watford

It`s almost Christmas didn`t you know!!!

Well what other reason could there be for the Hertfordshire police force to have already decided that they want the Hornets' Boxing Day home clash with Bristol City moved to a 12noon kick off?

Maybe they just fancy clocking off early for the turkey curry evening buffet in the staff canteen (all at the tax payers expense obviously)….After all, there`s never been any trouble with the South Westerly Robins before for them to bleat on about.

So the first fixture change to Watford's 2008-2009 schedule sees yet another traditional 3pm kick off slot chalked off.

Whatever next? Will the game with Barnsley on Easter Bank Holiday be rearranged because the Easter Bunny fancies a few hours extra kip after all his chocolate excesses?

I'm all for the noon kick-off agaist Bristol City. It gives us chance to spend the afternoon with our family's. It puts football in prospective. (1881)

Maybe the police all want to be home for leftover Turkey sandwiches at tea time!
