Gorkss move from Seasiders hits the rocks

Gorkss move from Seasiders hits the rocks

Contrary to reports, Watford target Kaspars Gorkss has not left Blackpool after Queens Park Rangers announced a deal had been struck.

The Latvian ace, who has been tracked by Adrian Boothroyd for longer than Q.P.R have been rolling in it, has seen his potential move to London struck off as Blackpool have reported Iain Dowie's side citing an 'illegal approach'.

'I don't want to say too much about it,' Blackpool manager Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Lancashire.

'But we've got to protect the interests of our club and we're led to believe there's been an illegal approach.'

Grayson added: 'If anybody approachs our club and offers money then that's our decision to give permission to talk to players. It was disappointing while I was away to read that Kaspars has already signed for Queens Park Rangers '

'But the matter is now in the FA's hands. We like to do our football business in the right way and we feel this hasn't been done

This latest development may well open the door for Boothroyd to jump in an snare the Blackpool rock from right underneath The Hoops noses...we can but hope.

Er, just for the record, QPR never actually announced a deal had been struck. All they did was confirm they'd made a bid for the player - looks like loads of people, including those at Blackpool (Simon Grayson included), haven't actually been getting all their facts right!

A deal should be struck with QPR, I hope, this will just slow the whole thing down. Should the Gorkss deal not go through I get the impression they've got an army of potential replacements. Thanks for Mahon by the way.

Sandydl - I'm just quoting Simon Grayson. Boxer - How did Gavin do? I hear from some Hoops friends a bad start, but did excellently after that?

I am sure Blackpool will least want to sell him th QPR after reporting them for an illegal approach.
