Loach: Top flight interest won't faze me

Loach: Top flight interest won't faze me

Young Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach insists speculation of potential interest from a host of top flight clubs including Liverpool, Newcastle, Man City and Tottenham Hotspur will not faze him.

The talented 19 year old has just completed his first season in league football - picking up rave reviews on loan at Division 2 sides Bradford City and Morecombe - but is linked, almost weekly, it seems, with a move into the Premiership big time.

But Loach stated he wouldn`t get too big for his boots stating "I honestly didn`t know anything about it until it was mentioned [by the Bradford players] but it doesn`t distract me. My mind is basically focussed on repaying the gaffer here for giving me the opportunity to shine."

And a firmly grounded Loach added "I`ve been brought up with some strong parenting and have good people around to look after me to keep my feet on the floor".

That's good to hear Scott - now go get that Watford number 1 jersey and keep it in safe hands.
