Eustace red card overturned by FA

Watford`s success at getting red cards dished out at the Hull overturned continued today after influential skipper John Eustace saw his 'straight red card` rescinded at an FA hearing.

The Hornets, who were successful with an appeal to have Steve Kabba red card(picked up at Hull back in late March) also overturned, will now welcome the former Stoke captain back into their midfield engine room for tomorrow night's crunch Play-off 2nd leg at the KC Stadium.

Eustace was dismissed by inept ref Kevin Friend in the 61st minute of the 2-0 first leg defeat at Vicarage Road for an alleged headbutt, or was it a 2 footed tackle, maybe even retaliation after being stamped on, or perhaps it was for tripping up a teammate…We are still none the wiser!

Whatever the reason, Aidy Boothroyd could not hide his joy at having his 'warrior` of a club captain back in the ranks but still found time to have a little swipe at the bureaucracy of it all.

The Hornets gaffer said "With the sending off we have a situation where the Hull players are more experienced than the referee and they`ve talked him into the red card".

That's good news! So come on Watford and get a good result tonight! Just remember, you aren't only doing it just for you, you are doing it for us Millers - we need the money we get if you go up!!!

Nice to see that the appeal system works for some. It must help if you can afford the appeal in the first place though.
