Watford 'have shown progression' - Aidy

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd insists the Hornets "have shown progression" despite seeing his side pick up 4 points LESS in the last 16 games of this season than the ill-fated spell in the Premier League last year!

It seems the fact that the Hornets are 11 points and 3 places worse off on their last finish in the Championship (with a vastly more expensively assembled squad to boot) is lost on the Watford boss who remains adamant the club has moved forward.

Speaking to fans through his weekly e-mail, Boothroyd said "We have shown progression. We have shown resilience. We have shown that we had the ability to move on from the disappointment from relegationů"

There`s even talk of "a new chapter for the club" - whatever that means these days!

Fewer points and further down the league, how is this progression. It sounds like a manager who is under pressure to me and not certain about his future.
