Hornets 'Road to Hull' blocked by police

Cop a load of this! Police have put a sting in the tail for Glory Hornet fans making the arduous journey north to Hull next Wednesday by condemning a fan pick-up point at Vicarage Road "neither safe nor feasible".

If traveling for 12 hours in a sweaty coach wasn`t hard enough at the end of a long season, Watford police have "raised an objection" to picking up fans at the Hornets home ground citing "traffic volumes", "traffic congestion" and even access for "Fire and Ambulance" services as the problem!

Come off it. With free away day coach travel on offer from the club (in order to make the Hornets presence felt at the KC) there`s bound to be a few more coaches leaving than usual for the play-off semi 2nd leg but really…

Whatever next! Maybe police will force the football league to switch the weekend dates of the 2 play-off semi finals under the lame excuse of 'policing issues` at Crystal Palace…

h, hang on.

*(There will now only be 1 pick-up point on the dual carriageway in Ascot Road, departing from 1.15pm) - Check out the official club site for full details.

It sounds ok to me. I would think just about everyone going to Hull would take up the free travel. That's more than just a few. For the record, one of them will be me. "com on you Horns" (1881)
