'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Clearout Begins?

Former Leicester and Bristol Rovers fullback Jordan Stewart has left Watford football club today after more than 100 starts for the Golden Boys.

Adrian Boothroyd's first buy arrived in 2005 along with Martin Devaney, who didn't last as long, for 125k. Despite many calls for his head, the left winger-cum-left-back has kept his place over the years and even captained Watford twice last season.

The decision comes in light of Mat Sadler's arrival as Adrian Boothroyd cannot guarentee former U21 cap Stewart a first-team place. His contract would have expired over the Summer, but was terminated early for a reason disguised in Boothroyd jargon.

Stewart had re-possessed Sadler's berth at left back in recent weeks, but was dropped ahead of Blackpool - Sadler now virtually has his spot in the team sewn up.

Here comes the hard bit...

Good luck Jordan!

Although Jordon has been rubbish last year, he didn't ever give up on the pitch. Without any cover being at the club should we have brought someone in first. I think we should have.

Both are up to this league, no need for a new full back.

M S ok, He's not prem standed. He's ok but he's no Paul Robinson. J P needs first team games. He's one for the future. As we are still in the prem hunt could you see JP or MS up aganst prem wingers & forwards. They would both get murdered.
