Vote of confidence for under pressure Aidy

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd has been given a dreaded vote of confidence by club chairman Graham Simpson ahead of the Hornets 'make or break` clash with Blackpool.

Self acclaimed Hornets fanatic Simpson (who even took up a seat in the heart of the Hornets home support during the quite awful 2-0 defeat to Palace) told the Watford Observer "I appointed Aidy Boothroyd and I stand by him. I believe in loyalty and sticking by people"

The Hornets boss has been the subject of fans calling for his head after a run of 1 win in 13 games but despite Watford fearful of falling out of the play-offs on the last day of the season, Simpson insisted "I, and the board, are going to support Aidy. He has tremendous ability and is an exceptional talent".

Where would we be right now if AB had not joined the club? League one or two. People have short memorys. Who could we get that's any better?

Yes. And where could we be with another manager who didn't believe his own press to the extent he puts Jordan Stewart right mid? People live in the past too much.

Martin Allen is another name that would fit nicely into the Hornets hotseat but have faith in Aidy...BELIEVE.

Aidy can only do so much. It's the players that must do the job when thay step over the white line. Most have been woeful lately. How many teams are sucessful when thay change the manager every season???
