Watford goal drought spreads to Hereford

Watford goal drought spreads to Hereford

Goals might be hard to come by for Aidy Boothroyd`s Watford side of late and it seems the curse in front of goal had even inflicted the Hornets young striker Theo Robinson, out on loan at Hereford too!

The 19yo frontman had been banging in goals for fun for the Bulls and notched up 13 in quick succession but then had to wait a quite staggering 817 minutes of match action before getting on the scoresheet again…

...a heartless 60th minute strike at home to Wrexham last weekend - a goal that eased opened the relegation trapdoor and the pushed the Welsh dragons kicking and screaming into non-league footie.

In fact Robinson last scored a league goal for the Bulls way way back in December (against Bradford) and his only goal in 2008 had been a consolation strike in the 4th round against FA Cup finalists Cardiff…

That`s a drought of 15 games in all competitions!!!!

Still, even with a dry patch longer than the Sahara desert, Theo would be considered 'prolific` in the company of other Watford strikers (name no names, Mr Kabba, Mr Hoskins and Mr Ellington!)
