Adrian Boothroyd still maintains his side have a chance of automatic promtion, that despite a third game without victory.
Saturday's home defeat to Palace came after a draw against West Brom and a defeat to Barnsley, yet despite the faltering form, he's confident:
'I genuinely believe that it will go to the wire.
'It's a blow but we can't keep relying on everyone else around us to mess it up.
'I think first place is gone now but second is still very much up for grabs.'
The King of Spin also found time post match to praise his troops performance, sadly though, not their finishing:
'We've created enough to win two or three games.
'I knew what Palace would be able to do and there's always a chance of creating with the pace they've got.
'We've created some unmissable chances and missed them. If you do that then that is what you get. We should have won 4-0.'
The same old hard luck story; it's waring a bit thin lads...

I know aidy has to put a brave face on it but he needs to get real with the players & the fans. Automatic is now out of the question. The way things are going the play-off's could also be a bridge too far. When will AB tell the fans what he is going to do to get the team out of the huge hole we are in. He's still just about has my backing, but this is wearing thin. Some of the players don't seam interested. If thay don't get them out. (1881)

I quite agree with everything you've just said. On current form, we are 18th. That is obviously very poor. If we continue that form inot the Play Offs, can you imagine the confidence Hull/Stoke, Bristol and Palace/Ipswich will go into the games with? At least we know we can beat the last two, but the others have had the better against us constantly. I think it would be a waste of time and money to get into the play offs. However, as a very intelligent mate said to me, we need the money from going up. It's worth what, 60m these days? With that we can pay for a stadium, pay off debts and have a bit left to pay for new players?
