Boothroyd: "I`d have left early too"

Boothroyd:

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd has admitted he`d have been one of the thousands heading for the Vicarage Road exit doors just 2 minutes into the second half, had he been given the choice!

The Hornets boss has shown some sympathy with Hornets fans who had to endure his side`s dire, dour and desperate performance in the 3-0 defeat to Barnsley insisting "To be honest, I`d have gone home early tonight if I was them"

In his post match analysis on the official site, he added "I don`t blame the fans for leaving…they pay their money and they are entitled to say what they want. I won`t duck it when there are 1 or 2 [fans] that want to say what they`ve got to say"…

1 or 2? Really? More like 16,000 Aidy!

Cat calls rung out at the final whistle from all areas of the ground (even the Family Enclosure) but how many people were left in the ground at the end would be questionable! There were plenty of seats vacated as early as the 47th minute when Steve Foster smashed in a close range header to put the tykes 2 up!
