'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Is it time for Tamas to shine?

After the fiasco of naming 3 full backs on the bench in the 'must win` clash with Coventry it will be interesting to see if Aidy Booothroyd chooses to bolster his attacking options by including recalled Tamas Priskin as a sub tomorrow night v Barnsley.

The 'New Kid on the Eastern Block` has returned from a productive 1 month loan spell at Deepdale in which the Hungarian hitman found a little bit of form and scored twice in 5 games to impress PNE gaffer Alan Irvine.

In fact the Preston boss heaped praise on the 21 year old striker stating "I`d have taken 2 goals from him [Priskin] when he first agreed to come to us on loan and they have been big goals so I`m really pleased with what he has done for us".

But even with a bagful of good reviews under belt Tamas may well be in for a tough ride to break back into Aidy Boothroyd`s starting XI and add to his 19 starts in a Hornets shirt.

With Darius Henderson back in contention for a starting berth after suspension and Nathan Ellington looking to add to his classy goal on Saturday, surely Priskin will be scrapping it out with Steve Kabba and Collins John for the chance to warm the bench as the promotion push hots up.
