Watford midfield general John Eustace will this morning be wondering just how on earth the miserable old men at the FA could decide that leaving the field of play in just 63 seconds was worthy of a 'improper conduct` charge…
…especially after the antics of Javier Mascherano and Ashley Cole during the last week.
The former Potters and Coventry engine room chief was dismissed by 'Useless Rob` Styles in the Hornets 0-0 draw with Stoke but was slapped with an extra game`s ban after the smug Havant official decided he didn`t head for an early bath in a timely manner!
63 seconds in truth.
Given that Eustace questioned the ref as he should in his capacity as Watford captain, was consoled off the pitch by every Stoke player, hung around to make sure his injured 'friend` Richard Cresswell was ok and was on the far side of the Vicarage Road pitch (a full 75 yards away), well it just proves the men in charge at Soho Square just aren`t in touch with today`s game.
Aidy Boothroyd told the Watford Observer "He was absolutely bemused at the sending off, as we all were…The evidence would suggest 63 seconds to leave the field is not that long, especially when he was over the other side of the field".
VitalWatford will now watch with interest today as the daft FA officials call judgement on the Premiership player`s lack of disrespect in the last 7 days.
After all, based on the precedence set with John Eustace, both players should be banned for life!
