Duke keen to fire up Bosnian troops
Nathan 'The Duke` Ellington wants a shock call up for the Bosnia & Herzegovina national squad after being pestered by his lovely missus.
The delectable Mrs 'Duke` Ellington is a Balkan state beauty and had already made moves to get her husband - the £3.5m Watford striker - to sign up for Bosnian citizenship and then fire her home nation to international glory.
Ok, Ok…when we say 'international glory` what we actually mean is 'beat Serbia`.
Ellington is eligible to play for a host of countries - including England (no chance) Jamaica (don`t mention Marlon King) and the Dominican Republic yet Bosnia is now his first choice…despite the fact that the only Home Nations based players in their squad is Rangers defender Sasa Papac.
The Bradford-born frontman told Sky Sports (via the unusual route of Bosnian State TV)'My wife proposed the idea of me playing for their national team and I really liked the idea. I hope to make the contact with the officials at the Bosnian FA soon.'
It could be good news for Bosnia. They`ve never qualified for a major tournament and have slipped down the FIFA rankings to 48th.

Yeah, that's what the article implies, and so do the sites that I've also read it on. Strange, maybe the Bosnian's are so desperate they'll take anyone on, irrespective of the legitimacy of their Bosnian heritage? Anyone?!
